Day 01 | Airport - Negombo

Your arrival will be at the Bandaranayake International Airport where our representatives will meet you at the arrival lounge. They will accompany you to a Hotel in Negombo to refresh and relax before the afternoon city tour of Negombo.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Hotel.

Day 02 | Negombo – Pinnawala – Sigiriya

After breakfast, we depart to Pinaawala to visit the elephant orphanage. This orphanage features one of the biggest herds of captive elephants in the world. The herd today numbers nearly to 71 elephants and is easily one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. The main attraction at Pinnawala is watching the elephants walk down to the river twice a day to have their bath, and the feeding time for baby elephants which is also a very popular time at the orphanage.

After spending time watching the elephants, we make our way to the city of Dambulla. There we check into the hotel at Sigiriya before the afternoon climb of the Lion’s Rock Sigiriya, a World Heritage Site. Sigiriya Located a few hours’ drive from Colombo, is a magnificent rock fortress built in the 5th century A.D. This majestic Citadel in the sky was the refuge of King Kasyappa and is world-renowned for its Mirror Wall’, which consists of poems and paragraphs carved by some of the thousands of visitors who visited the rock many years ago, and for its magnificent frescoes, similar to the Ajantha frescoes of India.

Then we return to the hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 03 | Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

After breakfast a village tour can be arranged on request. Then, we leave to Polonnaruwa to enjoy a city tour.

The city of Polonnaruwa is the medieval capital & crown jewel of King Parakramabahu I. It remains superior proof of ancient culture & heritage blended with religious beliefs. We will take a walk across its scattered walls which is surrounded by stupas, resting Buddha statues, irrigation canals and fantastically carved Hindu sculptures. While observing the relic house, the Watadage which features beautiful stone carvings, you will also be able to witness a slight Hindu influence on architectures and statues found in Polonnaruwa. You will also be able to sit by the side of Galviharaya and observe the absolute beauty spurting out of every corner of its huge Buddhist statues. Nissankamalla Council Chamber is a mind-spinning beauty to just sit back and watch with its swaying pillars reminding the aesthetics of a powerful kingdom which rests beside Parakrama Samudraya, the sea of Parakramabahu which is a masterpiece of irrigation!

In the evening, on request a safari can be arranged to the Minneriya National Park, on the way back to the hotel.

When night falls, we head back to the hotel in Sigiriya for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04 | Sigiriya – Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

After breakfast we will visit Dambulla cave temple, which contains more than 150 Statues of Lord Buddha. This was where a king of the 1st Century B.C. took refuge and later converted it into a monastery.

Thereafter we leave for Kandy. En-route we will be visiting Matale Spice Garden to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. Here, we will not only be able encounter different spices but see how some of these spices are grown and processed. We will also visit a Hindu temple, in Matale.

Once we arrive in Kandy, we will visit Temple of Tooth. This temple, the most important one for Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D, solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. This will allow you to observe the magnificent Architecture of that period and experience the tranquility of the atmosphere.

After the long day, we will head to the hotel in Kandy to refresh, have dinner and the night’s stay.

Day 05 | Kandy

After breakfast we will visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. The botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants, and flowers.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Tooth. This temple, the most important one for Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D, solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. This will allow you to observe the magnificent Architecture of that period and experience the tranquility of the atmosphere.

Then, we will take a city tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. A drive around Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798 is something you cannot miss doing. This city tour also includes visits to Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary.

Day 06 | Kandy – Nuwera Eliya

After breakfast, we travel deeper into the tea-growing hills to Nuwara Eliya and have the option to wind through the mountains with magnificent views. En-route to Nuwara Eliya you will visit the Ramboda waterfall and a factory of the popular Sri Lankan Tea.

Arriving in Nuwara Eliya you will be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, Nuwara Eliya is located at the heart of the hill country 6182 feet above sea level. It is still very much like an old English town with styled Bungalows and buildings. The cool calm climate, gorges rolling tea plantation which makes the best “Ceylon tea” and the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls make Nuwara Eliya one of the most beautiful towns in the world. We also offer travel by train to Nuwera eliya. After a long day of exploring this beautiful city also known as “Little England,” we make our way to the hotel for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 07 | Nuwera Eliya – Kithulgala – Kalutara (waskaduwa)

After breakfast, we will proceed to the city of Kalutara. The landscape that you will pass on the way will amaze you. On request white water rafting activity at Kithulgala can be arranged to have a quick adrenal rush.

After arriving in Kalutara/Waskaduwa we make our way to the hotel for dinner and for the night’s stay.

Day 08 | Nuwara Eliya – Elle - Tissamaharama

On the final day of the tour, you will have breakfast and relax at the hotel before we go to Colombo for a city tour. We will then make our way to the Airport in Colombo.
