Day 01 Airport – Pinnawala – Sigiriya

  • Welcome at the airport and departure to Pinaawala to visit elephant orphanage. Proceed to Sigiriya, arrival at hotel. Afternoon climbing Sigiriya Lion Rock (World Heritage Site UNESCO). Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
  • Features one of the biggest herds of captive elephants in the world. The Pinnawela herd today numbers nearly 71 and is easily one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. The main attraction at Pinnawela is watching the elephants walking down to the river twice a day to have their bath. Feeding time for baby elephants is also a very popular time at the orphanage.Sigiriya Rock Fortress
  • Sigiriya Located a few hours’ drive from Colombo, Sigiriya is a magnificent rock fortress built in the 5th century A.D. This majestic Citadel in the sky was the refuge of King Kasyappa and is world-renowned for its Mirror Wall’, which consists of poems and paragraphs carved by some of the thousands of visitors who visited the rock many years ago, and for its magnificent frescoes, similar to the Ajantha frescoes of India.

Day 02 Sigiriya – Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

  • Proceed to Hot Air balloon ride 4:30 AM afterwards visit Dambulla cave temple, which contains more than 150 Statues of the Buddha. This was where a king of the 1st Century B.C. took refuge and latter converted them into a monastery.
  • Thereafter leave for Kandy. En-route visit Matale Spice Garden, in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. Here, clients could see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed.
  • In Kandy visit temple of tooth. This temple, the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D, solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Observe the magnificent Architecture of that period and experience the tranquility of the atmosphere.

Day 03 Kandy – Ella

  • After breakfast visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers.
  • Afternoon proceed to Ella .

Day 04 Ella- Koslanda- Ella

  • After breakfast proceed to Lipton Seat and visit Diyaluma Falls (Koslanda).
  • Lipton’s Seat is a most famous view point of Badulla district and popular visiting place closed to Haputale Sri Lanka. Lipton Seat is an observation point and atleast 7 districts can be seen in this location.The Scottish tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton used to survey his burgeoning empire from here.

Day 05 Ella – Demodara- Hikkaduwa

  • After breakfast, visit Demodara bridge and a train ride from Demodara to Ella or vice versa.and proceed to Hikkaduwa.
  • The Nine Arches Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in Sri Lanka and is one of the best examples of British railway constructions when Ceylon was yet a colony of the British Empire.
  • Hikkaduwa is a large shallow body of water enclosed by a reef, decorated with layers of multi coloured corals, and is home to countless numbers of vibrantly coloured fish. Off the beach there is a collection of small islets surrounded by beautiful coral formations. Many species of fish and large turtles are found here. There are more than four different shipwrecks for diving enthusiasts to explore along with dive shops offering PADI courses and equipment.

Day 07 Hikkaduwa – Weligama

  • After breakfast proceed to Ceylon Sliders Weligama. (60 Km)
  • Clients will have to arrange a vehicle to go to Weligama which is approximately $40
  • Charges should be met by the client.
